PRP Therapy uses your own blood to encourage the production of new collagen and to promote growth factors. It is a growing area in medicine that has been shown to help with a variety of problems. For example, it is an increasingly popular solution to address hair loss, and it helps give you healthier, thicker hair.
It is also used to encourage the production of new collagen in skin to improve fine wrinkles and the general appearance of skin. Injecting the face in multiple areas with PRP is a popular treatment of ours.
It has been shown to improve the pain associated with arthritis or injuries in the shoulder and knee.

Our Experts
Our PRP procedures are carried out exclusively by our highly experienced Doctors. Our Doctors use this treatment regularly for both cosmetic and medical purposes. For joints we like to combine PRP with Hyaluronic Acid which used together produces new collagen and a lubricating effect on painful joints. We utilise advanced technology to split the elements of the blood, separating the potent human growth factors from platelets and other substances. The treatment involves harvesting the natural growth factors in the blood and redistributing them to feed the hair follicle, skin cells or collagen building cells within joints. We use your own super growth factor from your blood, concentrate it and then put it back in to an area that really needs it.
What to expect
You will be examined by our Doctors to establish where to administer treatment for the best results and a topical anaesthetic cream is applied if needed. A small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm and inserted into our state-of-the-art concentration system to separate the human growth factors from your blood. The concentrated boosting factors will then be injected back in to the site requiring treatment. The treatment itself can take up to 30 minutes depending on what area is being treated.
After Care
After having your treatment, you are advised to avoid using any other product on the skin for 24 hours. This is to ensure the area is kept clean and to reduce any chance of infection. For joints we advise resting the joint for 24 hours after the procedure.
FAQs
FAQ
Are there any side effects?
As we are injecting the substance that has been extracted from your own blood, there is no medication involved and therefore side affects are very uncommon. As with any injection there may be a small amount of bruising at the needle entry point.
Is this treatment permanent?
PRP can produce long term results but most clients benefit from having PRP done more than once.
How quickly does it work?
PRP works gradually over a few weeks. Most people notice an improvement to their skin, hair or joints within the first 3-4 weeks.
